PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent degradation of the quality of a substance to be filled by substituting the air in a container body for a substitution gas in advance to reduce the residual oxygen content before the substance to be filled is filled in the container body. SOLUTION: In a filling method of a substance to be filled in which the substance to be filled is filled in the container body 2 from a mouth member 3 fitted to the container body 2 formed of a flexible sheet piece 5, after the substitution gas is filled in the container body 2 from the mouth member 3, the substitution gas in the container body 2 is discharged, and the substance to be filled is filled in the container body 2 from which the substitution gas is discharged, and then, the container body is sealed.
