PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain operating condition of a parking brake using generated hydraulic pressure by a hydraulic pressure master cylinder for a long time and in a good condition in a hand brake device for a vehicle with a steering bar. SOLUTION: The turning base 40a of a parking lever 40 is pivoted on a pivot 7, a first arm 40b is placed above the upper side of a brake lever 4 and a second arm 40c is extended to the car body front side of a cylinder body 6. A parting lever resilient means 41 is attached in pressed condition between the second arm 40c and the car body front side wall 65d of the cylinder body 6 and the parking level 40 is energized to the same direction as the gripping direction of the brake level 4. A level engaging means 42 to engage with the brake lever 4 that performs the gripping operation to the direction of an accelerator grip 11 is prepared in the first arm 40b. A resilient force to energize the brake lever 4 engaged with the parking lever 40 by the lever engaging means 42 to a prescribed gripping position is provided in the parking lever resilient means 41.
