PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence of intensive rocking of inner and outer tubs when starting dehydration. SOLUTION: With the end of rinsing, water stored in an outer tub 5 is drained to a fixed water level (S1 and S2). After the level of water in the outer tub 5 reaches the fixed level, the rotation of an inner tub 6 is started and the number of rotations is increased to a prescribed number of stable rotations (about 150 rpm, for example), exceeding a number of resonant rotations (such as about 100 rpm, for example) (S4). When the number of rotations of the inner tub 6 reaches the number of stable rotations (YES in S4), drainage is restarted and after the completion of drainage, the number of rotations of the inner tub 6 is increased to the number of rotations required for dehydration (S7).
