PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricating device for a machine tool, offering reduced cost for lubricating oil with less consumption of lubricating oil and permitting reduced size. SOLUTION: This lubricating device includes a nozzle 11 provided with a lubricating oil jet passage 11 a communicating with an oiling port 6a in a lubricating oil supply passage 6 and disposed so as to be movable to the direction of engaging to the oiling port 6a or separating therefrom, a nozzle moving device 12 for moving the nozzle 11 to the direction of engaging to the oiling port 6a or separating therefrom, a lubricating oil supply device 13 (a lubricating oil supply means) for supplying lubricating oil into the lubricating oil jet passage 11a, an air supply device 14 (an air supply means) for supplying air into the lubricating oil jet passage 11 a to force feed the lubricating oil into the lubricating oil jet passage 11 a and a control device 15 for controlling the operation of the air supply device 14.
