PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit the penetration of ink into a gap between adjacent ink keys and thereby ensure the stable operation and save labor involved in a cleaning work, with regard to an ink supply device and the ink key. SOLUTION: A cover member which covers the surface of a plurality of ink keys 1 in a liquid tight fashion, is provided in an ink fountain, so that the direct contact area of the ink keys 1 with ink is reduced and at the same time, grooves 13A, 13B running from the surfaces 12 of the ink keys 1 to a bottom face 19 are formed on either of the side faces 11 or both of each of the mutually adjacent ink keys 1 covered by the cover member. Therefore, even when the penetrating ink is already present between the ink keys 1, 1 due to capillarity resulting from the leakage of the ink or the like, it is possible to prevent the penetrating ink from being diffused with the help of the grooves 13A, 13B. |
