PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a producing method for a lithographic printing plate, writing by a scanning exposure in a short period of time or by a low energy heat mode exposure is possible in which strength and staining property of an image part are excellent, and an original plate for a lithographic printing plate, which is excellent in a storage stability and the developing treatment is not necessarily required for employing the lithographic printing plate. SOLUTION: In the method for producing a lithographic plate, after heat is given in the fashion of an image to the layer of the original plate of a heat sensitive lithographic printing plate having the above layer including a linear polymer compound, in the side chain of which a sulfonic acid group is provided, on a support, the resultant original plate is developed with water for producing the plate. The original plate has a layer including the linear polymer compound, in the side chain of which the specified solfonic acid group, on a support having a hydrophilic surface. In addition, the layer containing the linear polymer compound preferably further includes a photothermal convertible substance. |
