PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sense the change of a rotating resistance to switch the gear ratio by providing an input rotator having a recessed part having a face inclined to the rotating direction and an output rotator having the form complementary to the recessed part, and regularly energizing one of them in the direction of mutually meshing these rotators. SOLUTION: At the beginning, the respective inclined fitting faces 3, 4 of an input rotator 1 and an output rotator 2 are mutually pressed and fitted by a compression spring. An engagement and disengagement connecting element 5 is connected to the high-speed gear set of a transmission in this position, and this state is continued in the state having a small rotating resistance. When the rotating resistance is increased to increase the load of the output rotator 2, the inclined fitting faces 3, 4 are slipped at an angle B overcoming the pressing force of the compression spring, and the output rotator 2 is pushed out and displaced by a space A. When the transmission is preliminarily set so as to be shifted from high speed to middle speed by the displacement of A, the speed change is performed by this displacement of the output rotator 2. When the rotating resistance is further increased, the output rotator 2 attains the speed change to low speed.
