A portable conveyor hitch is disclosed providing a hitch assembly for use on a portable conveyer oil the type that includes a frame, axle and wheels supporting a conveyor body such that a top end of said conveyor body is in an elevated position when a bottom end thereof rests on the ground. The hitch assembly allows a towing vehicle to manouevre the bottom end of the conveyor into a desired position since the towing vehicle is located generally under the top end of the conveyor. The hitch assembly comprises a hitch member attached at a first end thereof to the axle, a second end thereof located generalty underneath an upper portion of the conveyor body. A connecting member is attached at a top end thereof to an upper portion of the conveyor between the axle and the top end of the conveyor body and attached at a bottom end thereof to the hitch member.
