With the course angle to be determined, the wheel turning is measured with a firmly braked wheel, alternatively the camber. Using partly the thus measured wheel turning or wheel camber angles, and partly the known straight course and spindle pin angles or the angles from which these have been calculated, the sought-after course angles are calculated. The measurements can be carried out with a computer programme or a ready reckoner on a routine basis on a vehicle, determining the straight course and spindle pin angles and carrying out wheel turning and camber measurements, which as a rule can be quickly carried out with existing measurement equipment. |
