摘要	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic recording medium excellent in edge stability at the time of using the medium as a magnetic tape. SOLUTION: This magnetic recording medium consists of an aromatic polyamide film having a <=5 wt.% solubility into concentrated sulfuric acid. The aromatic polyamide consists of polyparaphenylene terephthalamide containing 0.001-1.5 wt.% inorganic particles and the total number per mm2 of the particles or foreign-matters having >=300 nm diameter is <=50,000.
