<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce consumption power by dynamically changing a correlation value calculating term and stopping the operation for correlation value calculation when the calculating term is shorter than a correlation value outputting interval. SOLUTION: This GPS receiver is equipped with a receiver 1 receiving a transmitted signal from a satellite, an artificial noise signal generator 4 generating an artificial noise signal, a correlation value calculator 5 calculating a correlation value between a signal received by the receiver 1 and the artificial noise signal, a data demodulator 8 demodulating data contained in the transmitted signal at a specified period on the basis of the correlation value, a term determining apparatus 6 determining a correlation value calculating term calculating the correlation value in accordance with the receiving state of the signal received by the receiver 1, and a stopping control unit 7 comparing the specified period with the correlation value calculating term, and stopping the operation relating to the calculation of the correlation value, for the specified period when the term is shorter the period.</p> |
