PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter which has good color characteristics and a color liquid crystal display device which is low in electric power consumption of a back light and has the good color characteristics. SOLUTION: This color filter is constituted by forming pixels on a substrate. The difference between the minimum film thickness and maximum film thickness in the direction perpendicular to the substrate of at least one color of the pixels is 0.2 to 1.0 μm and when the pixels having the difference are red, the transmittance at visible light 600 to 800 nm is >=60%. In the case of the green pixels, the transmittance at visible light 500 to 600 nm is >=60% and in the case of the blue pixels, the transmittance at visible light 400 to 500 nm is >=60%. The color filters described above is used in the process for producing the liquid crystal display device. |
