The valve has a valve body with bore for a valve member. The valve member contains pressure chamber (13) on the side of the combustion chamber, and all injection apertures (15) extend from the chamber. A pref. axial channel formed by a bore in the valve member connects the pressure chamber to a pressure space (9). The valve member also has a section with larger external diameter, and a length larger than its diameter, to contain the pressure chamber.
