<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently exchange data by storing ATM cells in a cell storage part discriminatingly by line input/output part units, where inputted ATM cells are read out and successively discarded ATM cells which arrive from the same line input/output part up to an ATM cell having information indicating the tail of a packet in the case an ATM cell arriving from the line input/output part is discarded. SOLUTION: Buffers 81-1 to 81-x, and 83 store ATM cells inputted from respective signal lines 100-sU-1-1 to 100sU-1-x, and 102-sU. The buffers 81-1 to 81-x and 83 and a cell processing part 90 are connected by signal lines 151-1 to 151-x, and 152. Then ATM cells inputted through the signal lines 100-sU-1-y (1<=y<=x) among the signal lines 100-sU-1-1 to 100-sU-1-x are stored in the corresponding buffer 81-y among the buffers 81-1 to 81-x. The buffers 81-1 to 81-x discard input ATM cells by using a known EPD, while being conscious of the packet.</p> |
