PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector capable of releasing short circuit of a short terminal without using a release rib. SOLUTION: When both housings 10, 20 are fitted regularly and a locking nail 31 of a locking arm 30 is released from a locking surface 53, a spider 40 assembled in a male housing 20 is moved backward by the elastic repulsive force of an elastically constricted coil spring. By integrally assembling a short terminal on the slider 40, the short circuit terminal 60 is automatically moved from a short circuit position, where a contact part 64 contacts with a male side terminal metal fitting 26 to short circuit the male side terminal metal fitting 26 to a release position, where the contact part 64 does not make contact with the male side terminal metal fitting 26.
