PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the display brightness without deteriorating color purity and besides to contribute to the cost reduction without burdening production with a heavy load steps. SOLUTION: In the light scattering film usable to a liquid crystal display device which displays color picture based on unit pixels having subpixels corresponding to fundamental colors, the light scattering film 5' is provided with parts to develop colors to transmitted light about the fundamental colors for respective subpixels, additional parts 5w which are made to correspond to brightness enhancing subpixels and transmit light components with specified wavelengths out of incident light and a light scattering layer part 5s extended over the full region of the film. The additional parts and the light scattering layer part are integrally formed with the same material.
