PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binding machine of which constitution can be simplified. SOLUTION: When a bound member M is inserted into a notch 21, a pushing- down arm 63 pushes down a switch piece 61a through an operating arm 62, a lock arm 64 locks the switch piece 61a under its pushed-down state, a rotary disc 50 is rotated to drive a feeding-out mechanism and a binding mechanism and at the same time this rotary disc 50 is rotated approximately one round, a protrusion 51 formed at an outer circumference of the rotary disc 50 rotates a lock releasing arm 65, resulting in that the pushing-down arm 63 and the lock arm 64 are moved away from the switch piece 61a to stop rotation of the rotary disc 50, thereby a control over a power supply can be carried out only through a turning-on or turning-off of a micro-switch 61 in order to stop an operation of each of a feeding-out mechanism 30 and a binding mechanism and so its constitution can be simplified.
