SNOW MELTING MAT FOR STAIRS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent wear of a surface of rubber coating body so as to prevent generation of slip accident by continuously laying a long mat made of the rubber coating body heating when supplied with a current along stepped portions of stairs to cover the same, and fixing an antiskid tape to a bent portion of the rubber coating body. SOLUTION: A long snow melting mat is composed of a rubber coating body having a surface heating cloth, containing a flexible heating thread body heating when supplied with a current as a heating element, being embedded thereinside. A surface of stairs containing edges is covered with a sheet of long snow melting mat to prevent accumulation of snow on the edges. The mat is bent substantially at right angles at the edges of stepped parts of the stairs to constitute bent parts 11. Onto a surface of the part 11 an antiskid tape 12 is adhered to prevent generation of cracking in the part 11 even if it is stepped down repeatedly in a continuous manner. With such a constitution, generation of slip accident liable to occur at the stairs made slippery water of melting snow is prevented.
