LABOR-SAVING CONTROL OF RICE BLAST

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for controlling rice blast by which labor- saving and stable control effects can be obtained and the control is carried out in a nursery box without being accompanied by phytotoxicity. SOLUTION: A water-diluted chemical fluid prepared by diluting a powdery wettable powder, a granular wettable powder or an aqueous suspension comprising a compound having the control activity against Pyricularia oryzae of rice plants and further performances effective in controlling the rice blast developing in the rice plants after transplanting seedlings of the rice plants from a nursery box into a paddy field even when rice seeds hastening of germination or without the hastening of germination are treated in the nursery box for paddy rice as an active ingredient with water is drenched or sprayed on bed soil after filling the bed soil in the nursery box but before sowing the rice seeds. Otherwise, the water-diluted chemical fluid is drenched or sprayed from the upper part of the bed soil on the rice seeds hastening of germination or without the hastening of germination after sowing the rice seeds but before covering with soil or the water-diluted chemical fluid is drenched or sprayed on the surface of soil cover after sowing the rice seeds but just after the soil covering.
