PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corner member capable of being placed to a butt section between two panel members such as an exterior wall material and an eaves soffit or the like, making ventilation of an attic space or the like and, at the same time, having excellent fire resistance. SOLUTION: A metal corner plate member 1 having an H-shaped cross section is placed to a butt section between one panel member (exterior wall material) A and the other panel member (eaves soffit material) B having a butt end opposed to one panel member A. A plurality of ventilating holes 11x are formed in both sides holding a site opposed to a butt end of the other panel member B in the corner member 1. For that purpose, the front side of the other panel member B is connected to the rear side thereof through the ventilating holes 11x of the corner member 1, and ventilation can be made between both front and rear sides of the other panel member B. Since the butt section between one panel member A and the other panel member B is closed by the corner member 1, when a fire occurs, the spread of the fire from the front side of the other panel member B to the rear side can be prevented. |
