PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant seed-treating device which can efficiently treat plant seeds with a magnetic field and an electromagnetic field in a short time, to provide a method for treating the plant seeds by the use of the device, and to provide a plant seed-treating device which can continuously treat the seeds with a magnetic field. SOLUTION: A high voltage-generating device 21 is operated to apply a voltage to electrode plates 17, 19, and a motor 37 is driven to rotate an output shaft 39 and a cam plate 41. When the cam plate 41 is rotated, a driving shaft 35 is vertically reciprocated, and a driving base 25 is guided with a guide shaft 23 and vertically reciprocated. Thus, the driving base 25, an arm 27 and a container supporter 29 for supporting a container 28 are vertically reciprocated. Thereby, seed rice M charged in the container 28 is reciprocatively exposed to the magnetic field at a position approaching the N-electrode of a permanent magnet 7 and at a position approaching the S-electrode of a permanent magnet 9, and simultaneously exposed to the electromagnetic field between the electrode plates 17, 19. |
