PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mowing machine capable of suppressing burning of a motor caused by overloading. SOLUTION: In this mowing machine, a connection shoe 6 capable of rotating by receiving the rotative force of a shaft part 2 and sliding in a rectangular direction to the direction of the shaft center of the shaft part 2, and coming into contact with the inner wall 9 of a string housing unit 4 when it slides to the direction apart from the shaft part 2 is installed to the shaft part 2 of a motor 1 and a spring 5 which forces the connection shoe 6 to position to the side of the shaft part 2 is installed in the string housing unit 4.
