PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold for a lens for eye such as contact lens which is excellent in releasability, can display permanently stabilized releasability, and is low in manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: This mold is constituted so that a first mold 2 is registered to a second mold 4, and a molding cavity 6 having a shape to prepare a lens for eye is formed between those molds. Lens for eye is molded by polymerization of a specific polymerizable material in the molding cavity 6. At least either of the first mold 2 and the second mold 4 comprises a glass mold wherein at least molding cavity face 2a part is made of glass material, and surface- treated by a silane compound.
