PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower the withstanding voltage of a conversion switch in a converter or reduce the noise thereof. SOLUTION: In order to regulate the mean value of output current from an inverter circuit 2, a first control transistor Q11 is connected between one end of a reactor 5 in one DC feeder line 9 and the base of a conversion transistor Q1 in the inverter circuit 2. In order to on/off control the first control transistor Q11, a second control transistor Q12 is connected between the base thereof and the other DC feeder line 10. A surge voltage suppression diode 20 is connected between the base of the first control transistor Q11 and the other end of the reactor 5. Surge voltage is absorbed by turning the surge voltage suppression diode 20 on in synchronism with turn off of the second control transistor Q12. |
