The system comprises a light rod structure with pivoting joints providing balanced support for the camera. The individual camera support (1) comprises two separate handles (21), each of which is cylindrical and is mounted on a vertical axis (22). The handles are each mounted on a half-axle (14) and can pivot freely. A horizontal rod (10) extends between two joints (11), each of which carries a further section of rod linking the first rod to the half-axles. The camera stands on a support plate (6) which is attached via further components to the horizontal rod. A thumb wheel (15) is mounted adjacent to at least one handle, so that whilst the handles are being held, the angle of the camera can be adjusted using this wheel. This adjustment turns the camera about a horizontal axis (XX) passing through the camera and the handles.
