PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor power converter which can make the voltage shared by each semiconductor element uniform by adjusting automatically both the timing for turn-off and the timing for turn-on. SOLUTION: Voltage detectors I1-In detect peak voltages between both ends of elements when semiconductor elements SW1-SWn are turned on and turned off, and time delay generators 21-2n delay a gate signal by set delay times, and apply the delayed gate signals to the respective semiconductor elements. A delay time controller 3 takes in the respective peak voltages from the voltage detectors, when the semiconductor elements turn on and turn off, and adjusts automatically the delay times to be set in the respective time delay generators when the semiconductor elements turn on and turn off, in such a manner that the respective peak voltages are uniform. |
