PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head lamp allowing running along both right and left curves of a road using only one light source, by providing a plurality of regions where beams expanding in the substantially width direction are arranged at different heights and the boundaries are determined with a plurality of parts of a top cut off line. SOLUTION: A reflector 20 has a filament 11, and cooperates together with a lamp 10 completed with an occulter 12, a mask for blocking direct light. A reflecting surface of the reflector 20 is designed so that its left side part generates a light collecting zone at about 10 degrees in relation to its right side, and the right side part generates a light collecting zone at about 25-30 degrees in relation to the left side. Thus, transverse expansion required during designing of the reflector 20 is limited within a suitable restriction, and especially the occulter 12 itself or an area for extending the reflector 20 forward prevents the occurrence of an undesired cut-off portion of the reflected light. |
