PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make circuit scale small to miniaturize IC by constituting a comparator for detecting rotation of a motor or detecting a magnetic field so as to be used as a comparator for receiving data. SOLUTION: In an analog electronic time piece, for example, an electronic timepiece 10 comprises a receiving unit 20, a control unit 25, a voltage comparison part 30, and the like. The receiving unit 20 receives data input by electromagnetically combining an external coil with a motor coil 14. The control unit 25 sets a comparison reference voltage changeover control signal SSW level to 'H' or 'L' by the signal from a starting pulse generating unit 13, changes a switch 33 to OFF or ON according to it, and controls detecting sensibility of the voltage comparison part 30. The comparators 31, 32 of the voltage comparison part 30, when an external data signal is input through the motor coil 14, outputs rotation detected result or external magnetic field detected result based on the induction voltage of the motor coil 14, and outputs various data to the receiving unit 20.
