PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the manufacturing method of electrodes capable of providing batteries having an excellent cycle characteristic, besides the capacity, a rate characteristic and safety of the battery. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method has a coating process for coating a conductive electrode base material with a coating including the active material and/or the conductive material, a binder and a solvent, and a drying process for drying the applied coating so as to form a coating film. In the case where the time to be required for drying till the solvent content in the applied coating becomes 10 wt.% in the drying process is expressed with T (sec), T is set so as to satisfy an inequality 45<=T<=1000.
