The method involves using a suction- and detection system for limiting, sucking up, and detecting a fluid medium, whereby air volume currents are produced through a drive unit (10), and are conveyed into at least two separate outlet chambers (8, 9). The limiting and detecting is preferably undertaken by means of frontal whirls and/or current sealing. An inlet current (3) is preferably conveyed partially through a blower (5) in form of a suction current (9) and a frontal whirl current (6) in respectively one associated outlet chamber (12, 13).
