The sawing horse has two horse parts (12, 14) and a horizontal floor-based carrier (18) from which at least two vertical struts (24, 30) extend upwards. The carrier includes fixing devices (28) for releasable fixing of the struts, at least one of which can be fixed to the base in a variety of positions relative to the other.
