An arrangement for producing a support in shafts or hollow vertical chambers, allowing a material to be filled into the shaft, comprises a flexible sleeve (14) and a spreading unit (12,13) which can open the sleeve out. A mineral foam can be filled into the flexible sleeve, which hardens. The foam forms a stable cushion against the shaft wall.
