SUBSTANCE: proposed tie has horizontal elongated rectangular plate 21 to be connected across rail 22 with lower surface for resting on ballast and holding the tie from vertical displacement, wall 23 passing vertically along lower side of plate 21 between its longer sides parallel relative to these sides, ant at least one plate 33 for engagement with ballast. Plate 33 is connected to tie on its lower side and is designed for preventing side displacement of tie. Plate 33 is curved to create concavity on side pointed outwards to end of tie.
