An invention applies to improvement of crank mechanism design of internal combustion engines. Purpose of invention is increasing of engine output, reducing of fuel consumption. Said purpose is achieved owing to that in crank mechanism containing crankshaft (1), connecting rod mounted on crankpin (3) and hinged to pistonpin, connecting rod is composed as two cantilevers (2,4). The latters are displaced along the crankpin and interconnected by stepped spindles (6,7), horizontal parts of which are parallel one to another. Gear (8) is fastened on the crankpin and interacts with the similar gear (9) mounted on the stepped spindle (7)that is nearby to crankshaft.
