The pallet comprises a tray (5) and feet (6) and is fixed to a crate mounted on top. The crate comprises a belt for its walls and end flaps extending from these walls. The pallet tray has two flat interstices (25) for receiving and retaining the crate end flaps. The two interstices extend parallel to the tray plane and emerge through slits (26) in the opposite front (17) and rear (18) sides of the tray.
