The invention relates to a method and a device for splitting/cutting components, workpieces and/or test pieces of any thickness, size and other dimensions made of concrete, cut stone and other mineral building materials. Said method can be preferably used in construction works, e.g. in the restoration of buildings, workshops and homes, preferably for splitting concrete and stone plates. According to the invention, the method for splitting/cutting components, workpieces and/or test pieces is characterized in that the splitting process is a thermal splitting process, wherein splitting is effected by means of energy-rich radiation (3) and the workpiece is briefly melted along the split/cut seam during the splitting process. The inventive method is implemented using the inventive device, wherein a pressure chamber head (1) designed in correspondence with the invention is used. |
