The heating installation is controlled by activation of different electric heaters (220) in response to a signal indicating a comfort level (NCA). A programmer (350) delivers, for each tariff interval, a comfort level, and a device (360) anticipates transition from one level of comfort to a higher level, defined by the programmer in response to transition from one tariff interval to another.
