The invention relates to a device for recirculating the exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine via an exhaust line in the intake area thereof. The inventive device is provided with an exhaust valve which is arranged in a valve housing and which closes or opens the connection from a combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine to the exhaust gas return line. The inventive device also comprises a valve actuating device arranged in the valve housing. Said valve housing is provided with at least one coolant channel.
