PURPOSE: A lacquer film removing method and apparatus of flat CRT panels are provided to enhance productivity by temporary separation of lacquer films followed by complete cleaning thereof via air injection and cleaning and to enhance anchoring force in welding the panels and funnels via frit glass in an after process. CONSTITUTION: A panel(1) is heated in the rear part outer from a rail(6) by high frequency induction heat and a lacquer film(10) of that part is temporarily separated. It is preferred that the high frequency induction heat indirectly heats the rear part. The panel(1) is air injected in the rear part outer from a rail(6) to remove the temporarily separated lacquer film. The rear part of the panel(1) outer from the rail(6) is wet cleaned to remove the remaining lacquer film which is not removed by air injection. The lacquer film removed part of the panel(1) is dried. Anchoring force is increased when the panel(1) is welded with a funnel by frit glass in an after process.
