PURPOSE: An escalator and cart are connected device is provided to carry a cart for freight by using a general escalator. CONSTITUTION: A rail guide wheel is engaged with the bottom of both guide rails(60) attached on a partition(20) in the shape of an L. A guide roller contacts with the side of the guide rail. When a cart(50) enters an escalator, stairs(10) ascends from the ground. The rail guide wheel ascends to be engaged with the guide rail by the wedge effect. With the ascent of the stairs, the guide wheel and the guide roller engaged with the guide rail rotate. Thereby, the cart moves at a speed the same as the stairs.
