摘要 PURPOSE: A tri-linear texture mapping process device of graphics system is provided to reduce texture memory and improve bottleneck phenomena between texture memory and raster engine by putting tri-linear filtering logic in texture memory. CONSTITUTION: A frame buffer makes a buffering color value calculated from a geometry engine and raster engine. A memory array(100) of a tri-linear texture mapping process device of graphic system stores the texture image. A resister(210, 220) stores integer part and decimal part of U, V address receiving U, V address corresponding to each pixel when mapping texture image as three dimensional things. A texel address generator(300) generates eight texel address adjacent to integer part of U, V address stored at the resistor(210). A tri-linear filter(500) gets color value that was made a final texture mapping using decimal part of U, V address stored in the resister.
