PURPOSE: A method for controlling a subscriber matching block inside a local exchange, is provided to duplicate the subscriber matching block interfacing a subscriber matching processor and a time switch with a subscriber terminal, and to perform transmission/receiving using a spare line even when one transmission/receiving line has a fault, so as to stabilize a call processing service of an analog telephone subscriber. CONSTITUTION: A first and a second subscriber control circuit packs monitor mutual states. If the first and second subscriber control circuit packs are normal or only the first/second subscriber control circuit pack is normal, the first/second subscriber control circuit pack is made to be active respectively, and a subscriber matching processor, a time switch and many subscriber matching circuit packs are made to transmit/receive a telephony device(TD) bus control signal and a pulse code modulation(PCM) signal. Then the second/first subscriber control circuit pack is made to be standby respectively, and the TD bus control signal is consecutively updated from the subscriber matching processor. If the first and second subscriber control circuit packs are abnormal, the two subscriber packs are made to be standby and the TD bus control signal from the subscriber matching processor is consecutively updated.
