PURPOSE: A wheelchair to enable a handicapped person to move freely and conveniently on a wheelchair and regulate the wheelchair from side to side while going up a flight of stairs stably. CONSTITUTION: The wheelchair comprises a first stair upward device(30) installed in the lower part of the wheelchair; a second stair upward device(50) capable of relative-rotary movement each other by communizing one axis with the first stair upward device(30); a slider device(70) having a slider instrument capable of moving in a length direction of the wheelchair; a connecting device comprising a first connector(43) to connect a free-end side of the first stair upward device(30) with a side of the wheelchair, a second connector(45) to connect a free-end side of the second stair upward device(50) with a side of the wheelchair, a third connector(47) to connect the first stair upward device(30) with the second connector(45) and a slider(75); a slide driving device(90,93) to drive a slider instrument of the slider device(70); and a stair upward device driving device to drive the first stair upward device(30) or the second stair upward device(50).
