PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical suture with high node strength by treating polymer constituting the suture by single organic solvent swelling and dissolving the polymer, this and organic solvent not very swelling and dissolving the polymer, or solution mixed with water. SOLUTION: Polymer constituting a suture is treated by single organic solvent swelling and dissolving the polymer, this and organic solvent not very swelling and dissolving the polymer, or solution mixed with water so as to be formed into the medical suture. The polymer constituting the suture is set to have biodegradation and bioabsorbency and the suture is set to monofilament. The biodegradable and bioabsorbable polymer is set to a copolymer between lactic acid and caprolactone and the singularly used organic solvent is set to acetone. The organic solvent not very swelling and dissolving the polymer is set to alcohols such as methanol, ethanol, and isopropanol.
