PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent defective assembling due to incorrect dimensions by performing acid/peroxide treatment before an ink chamber is made of a plastic material and then performing alkaline treatment when the surface of the plastic material is treated. SOLUTION: The ink jet head 10 comprises a substrate 1 composed of a plastic material, e.g. acryl resin, epoxy resin, polyethylene, polypropylene or polyester, a cover 5, and the housing of a head. When the plastic material among the members constituting the ink chamber 9 of a ink jet head 10 is subjected to surface treatment in order to introduce a polar group, surface of that material is subjected to acid/peroxide treatment before the ink chamber 9 is made of the plastic material and then subjected to alkaline treatment with a 1-20 wt.% of sodium hydroxide solution. According to the method, defective assembling due to incorrect dimensions can be prevented when the head 10 is assembled. |
