PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform packing capable of securing sufficient cushioning property with a single packing material. SOLUTION: This apparatus includes a push-in unit for transfering a pipe 1 in the axial direction thereof, a sheet feed unit for holding a rectangular packing sheet, a sheet holding unit 90 for forming fold portions on the packing sheet with four pieces of press plates 91, a sheet press unit 100 for pressing the base part of each fold portion of the packing sheet with each press pin, a sheet folding unit 110 for folding each fold portion of the packing sheet with a roller in the peripheral direction of the pipe 1 to wind the packing sheet around the pipe 1 in a multiple form, and a binding unit 120 for binding the packing sheet and the pipe together.
