PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a feeder device which can surely prevent a double feed of sheets. SOLUTION: A paper feeder device 1 is provided with a paper feed tray 3 loading transcription paper P, a pickup roller 9 feeding the transcription paper in the paper feed tray 3, a feed roller 11 feeding the transcription paper P fed out from the paper feed tray 3 by normal rotation toward a main unit, a reverse roller 13 abutting to the feed roller 11 and to rotate reversely to return the transcription paper P, when it is double fed, toward the paper feed tray 3, a sheet detection sensor 7 arranged downstream of the paper feed direction of the feed roller 11 to detect the fed transcription paper P, a paper feed clutch 19 intermittently driving the feed roller 11, and a control means 8 controlling the paper feed clutch 19 by a detection signal from the sheet detection sensor 7. The control means 8 once stops rotation of the feed roller 11 and then rotates it again according to the detection signal from the sheet detection sensor 7, the control means 8 is provided with a setting means 21 for setting stop time T1 of the feed roller 11.
