PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic device and a method for processing an electrophotographic image in which an occurrence of irregular stripes due to variations in the size of halftone dots. SOLUTION: A controller 62 including a color conversion section 64, a halftone processing section 66 and a pulse width modulation section 68 or the like, is made up of a microprocessor of an electrophotographic device 60 and installed control programs. By emitting a beam, a virtual development region is formed in a prescribed position in a dot with a prescribed area, and by sticking a toner to the virtual development region, a real development region is reproduced. In the virtual development area, in order to prevent a thin region less than a prescribed width from being formed, a region that is originally expected to be thin is made thick to some extent, and to prevent such thin region from becoming a thinner real development region due to its excessively low surface potential.
