PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long switch reduced in variations of load working pressures and excellent especially in electrical characteristics. SOLUTION: This switch 1 is a long switch made up by incorporating a long switch part 3 in a long exterior body 2. The switch part 3 is structured to have a lower electrode 5 made of a conductive material disposed in the exterior body 2, an upper electrode 6 made of a conductive elastic alloy disposed opposite to the lower electrode 5 leaving a minute gap 7 there between in the exterior body 2, and first insulation layers 4 for insulating partial areas between the lower electrode 5 and the upper electrode 6 so as to form the minute gap 7 between the lower electrode 5 and the upper electrode 6.
