PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a film capable of retaining excellent gas barrier properties of a liquid crystal polymer, excellent in slipperiness and useful for food packaging, etc., at a lower cost by making the film include calcium carbonate. SOLUTION: This film comprises a liquid crystal polymer containing calcium carbonate and exhibiting the optical anisotropy at the time of melting. Furthermore, the calcium carbonate preferably has a number average particle diameter of <=90% based on the predicted average thickness of the film and the particle diameter (D90) of cumulative 90% from the side of fine particles without exceeding 4 times the predicted average thickness of the film and <=30 value of the ratio D90/D10 of the particle diameter (D90) of the cumulative 90% from the side of the fine particles to the particle diameter (D10) of the cumulative 10% from the side of the fine particles of a cumulative particle size distribution in the cumulative particle size distribution when determining the number-average particle diameter. The film is preferably composed of 40-1 wt.% of the calcium carbonate and 60-99 wt.% of the polymer. |
